The Challenge:
Ken Elder, the owner of a Handyman Service gets a lot of calls. He works with many sub-contractors depending on the service his clients need.  He had plumbers, electricians, roofers, carpenters and every kind of sub-contractor a handyman company would need to satisfy his customers’ needs.  But how could he keep it all straight?

After his conference call with Answer-All, as Ken is in another state and we could not meet personally, we discovered what Ken was looking for was really a simple information gathering system.

The Solution:
Answer-All set up Ken’s account, getting all the information required: name, telephone number, address, city, state, zip and what the call was in regards to.  This allowed Ken to transfer the job information to the sub-contractor, best fit for the particular job. We then took this one step farther to save Ken and his subs some time.  Every night, Ken sends us a list of all the jobs his subs would have for the following day and the name of the client.  If we received any cancellations from any of the clients on the list for work, we would call the sub-contractor directly to advise them of the cancellation.  This would save Ken time and eliminate the inconvenience his sub-contractor from going to a job that had been moved to a different day. 

The Result:
Ken has more time to be proactive in his business, and not reactive.  He is no longer tied to the phone gathering information.  His Sub-Contractors are very happy to be getting more work, because Ken’s time is freed up to work on the business, instead of in it.
